Who: All students in English homerooms participate in Core French Classes.
When: Core French Classes are four times in a six day cycle. This is a total of 180 minutes per cycle.
What: No longer focused on lists of vocabulary or verbs.
Our goals are to:
- Develop communication skills in French using literacy
- Create learning situations to increase students’ motivation and confidence so that students use French in their everyday lives
- Make learning French a positive experience
- Develop an appreciation for the French Language and Culture
How: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Viewing, Writing and Interacting in French
How you can help: We make use of a wide variety of texts, songs and videos in our program. You can encourage your student at home by asking them to share what they are learning with you!
